Why us

For 8,000 years, wine has been making it easier for people to connect. Travelers, merchants, businessmen and diplomats have all meet over a glass of wine to enjoy a taste of local food and wine, share stories and exchange information.

We are continuing this tradition and will take you on a journey full of aromas, bursting with stories about wine and incredible winemakers. We will tell you about their passion, courage and persistence. You will discover all kind of wines: famous and award-winning, little-known, natural, as well as wines which break the mould.

No need to be wine expert, no need to speak Polish.

Anna Kruszczyńska
Anna Kruszczyńska
Concept Owner/Company Founder

Anna has been organizing wine tastings for over five years. She cooperates with wine specialists who inspire her, gifted winetellers who know how to share their passion and knowledge about wine and the people who make it. She is constantly looking for new event ideas and new places to visit; she likes to combine wine tasting with traveling or wine games. A former finance specialist, she speaks English, French and Italian and feels very comfortable working in a multinational business environment. She plans and coordinates all the details to meet the expectations of every client, even the most demanding.

By promoting wines from small wine importers she supports the idea of choosing wine made at sustainable and biodynamic wineries, who respect tradition and our future. Anna always enjoys sharing her experiences from wine tours on the Stories Uncorked fan page, hoping to show the beauty of a place, the aromas of the wines she tastes and the stories of the people she meets on her journeys. When travelling privately, she likes to keep her agenda open, avoiding planning.

She likes people with a good sense of humour; she prefers reading books in their original language, prefers Scandinavian jazz over traditional; and her favourite kinds of red wine are the more tannic ones.

Izabela Kamińska
Izabela Kamińska
Wine journalist and Educator/Creative mind behind tastings ideas

Izabela has been with Stories Uncorked right from the beginning, running wine tastings in Polish, English and French. She has her own wine show “Ale Wino!” on YouTube – where together with her co-presenter Tomasz Czudowski, they try to explain interesting facts about wine and wine culture while tasting, travelling and recommending good wines. Iza is an educator and a trainer of the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) wine courses.

She has written over 200 articles about wine, traveling, food and wine-lifestyle for “Winicjatywa” (an online wine magazine in Poland) and for the magazines ”Ferment” and “Smak”. She currently writes for “KukBuk” magazine. She used to have a wine bar (Bardeaux Bar within the Cud nad Wisłą bar), and for over 5 years now she’s been working at Mileżyński Wine Spirits Specialities (running workshops for HoReCa; choosing wines for their wine portfolio and also creating the Akademia Wina concept – wine tasting events for wine lovers).

Iza loves sparkling wines, jazz music, big fat books, her dogs and traveling. And she hates feeling bored.

Paweł Białęcki
Paweł Białęcki
Wine consultant, trainer of WSET course, sommelier

Wine tasting for Stories Uncorked, held in Polish and in English, it’s just a small part Paweł’s activities.

On a daily basis, he works with the importer DeliWina (their headquarter is in Poznań), concentrating on the HoReCa sector: he selects and sells wines to restaurants and hotels, training their employees in the service and the wine selection for the best food-wine pairing.

Paweł has many years of sommelier experience; for 4 years he worked as a head sommelier at the Atelier Amaro restaurant, which was the first Polish restaurant to receive the highest distinction, a Michelin star.

He uses this experience and his ability to educate by conducting sommelier courses and WSET courses for Wine republic (courses accredited by the largest wine school in the world, Wine & Spirit Education Trust). Additionally, Paweł organizes and runs regular wine tastings and workshops for business and individual clients, as well as consultations for specialist stores. He writes about wine when he finds time (his articles have appeared, among others, on the Winicjatywa website).

Privately, he loves French wines and when chooses a red wine, he prefers unoaked wine with a fresh fruit and good acidity. His favourite white wines are mainly Austrian, in a similar style (fresh fruit and acidity).
